CAN I USE MY INSURANCE?

Most major insurance carriers usually provide some coverage for mental and behavioral health treatment. Our office is in-network provider for the following insurance companies:

  • Aetna

  • AvMed

  • Cigna

  • Magellan

  • Optum

  • United Healthcare

If your insurance company is not listed above, you may still be eligible to receive a partial reimbursement or credit toward your deductible for your paid services if your plan covers out of network providers. If you are unsure of your coverage options, my office will work with your insurance carrier to understand your benefits and eligibility.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT USING MY INSURANCE?

Please be aware that insurance agreements require you to authorize me to provide a clinical diagnosis and your dates of service to receive reimbursements for sessions. We are required to submit this information on your behalf if you choose to obtain insurance reimbursement. On occasion, additional clinical information such as a treatment plan or summary, or in rare case, a copy of the entire record are requested - this will always be disclosed to you prior to submission.

WHAT TYPE OF CLINICAL TECHNIQUES WILL BE USED?

Each of our therapists are trained and work to remain open-minded, non-judgmental, and respectful of our clients. Our therapists may use various techniques or styles that are individual to their personality and approach - often times this is personalized to each and every client as well. If you are curious about a therapist's approach, we encourage you to read each of our introductions and find a good fit for you. If you our curious about a specific technique or style that you don't see discussed, call our office and talk with us about it. Not all styles match all clients, and not all techniques are appropriate in every circumstance. We will do our best to honor your request, but if we see a conflict that could impose on your care we will talk to you about it.

HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?

Generally, sessions are scheduled to last 45-60 minutes. Extended sessions are available by request, but not always covered by insurance carriers. The number of sessions required is determined between the client and therapist as services continue and progress is made. However, you are able to discontinue services at any time you feel it necessary.

WHAT IS ONLINE THERAPY?

Online therapy is an excellent digital tool that allows clients to connect face-to-face with a therapist when it isn't always possible to be in the same room physically. Our office has invested in providing a secure platform that complies with all regulations for your privacy. Every session utilizes a unique log in that can be accessed by link or through our secure online records platform.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

We require a 24-hour notice of cancellation to avoid charges and fees. However, we also recognize that extenuating circumstances can always take us by surprise. Therefore, if you are unable to make your appointment, please contact your therapist to find an alternative time. If you are able to reschedule within the same calendar week, we will waive the fees. Please know that our therapists are not always able to accommodate these requests, and you are still responsible for any charges incurred.
